Keep praying for each other

R.O.S. has a place for it

R.O.S. is a relationship app built on how each of you is wired. When you both choose the faith option, it adds what this guide starts: a Praying for you button that lets your spouse know, with a short note on what you're praying; a shared prayer list where you can mark prayers answered; 30 days of short readings on marriage, one question each; and a closing prayer at your Weekly Huddle.

Questions

Is this for husbands or wives?

Both. Every day is written so either spouse can pray it for the other.

Which Bible translation do the verses use?

The New International Version (NIV). Each reference links to the passage on Bible Gateway, where you can switch to another translation if you like.

What if I've never prayed out loud, or don't know what to say?

Pray it silently, in plain words, the way you'd talk to a friend. One honest sentence is plenty. The focus for the day gives you a starting point.

Should I tell my spouse I'm doing this?

That's up to you. Many people start quietly and mention it after a week or so. Telling them what you prayed for is often more meaningful than announcing the plan.

What happens after day 30?

Start again. The second time through, you'll notice how much has changed, and you can add your own focus for each day.

Is this a substitute for counseling?

No. Prayer is a powerful habit, and it isn't a substitute for pastoral care or professional counseling when you need it. If you're in danger, call 911, the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233), or 988.
